This libguide is an introduction to Roskilde University Library. It will help you get started with using the library and its collections as a student, researcher, teacher, or private user.
The library is located in building 26, which is on the left when you enter through the “square root”-entrance. You can meet the library staff during staffed opening hours, where we provide professional assistance, and are able to help with questions about the library or RUC in general.
As part of The Royal Danish Library, we provide access to a large collection of digital and printed resources within your field of study. In addition to the collections, we offer printing facilities, study spaces, and areas to take a break and relax. We also hold courses for researchers and students and offer services such as Book a librarian.

On Thursday, February 20, Roskilde University invites you to an open house. Here, you can meet students, teachers, and student advisors and learn more about the bachelor's and master's programs.
Note ❗ RUC Open House takes place in the library, so there will be fewer study spaces before, during, and after the event.

📍 RUC Open House occupies the entire Level 1 and the stage area on Level 0.

Special Opening Hours During the summer holidays (weeks 27 - 32), on December 23rd (if it is a weekday), and on weekdays between Christmas and New Year's, the library’s staffed opening hours are from 09:00 - 13:00.
If you are not affiliated with Roskilde University, you can request an access code at the library’s desk Monday - Friday between 09:00 - 15:00.
